Tell us about your business and its history in your town.

We started early in 2019 as a pop-up selling our products at local area breweries, wineries and farmers markets. We specialize in French pastries such as macarons, eclairs and cream puffs, as well as savory items such as sausage rolls, veggie tartlets and tourtieres (French Canadian meat pies). We also operate Pop-Up Poutine, a pop-up selling authentic Montreal poutine and smoked meat sandwiches at certain venues.

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

One employee is no longer working, and we had to reduce production hours because all events and large special orders have been cancelled.

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

We now offer a delivery service where some of our most popular items can be ordered online. We also continue to offer our products at the Kensington famers market. Every Friday and Saturday we offer pre-order of our poutine and smoked sandwiches for pick at local breweries.

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

We're all in this together. This is a time to take stock and look closely at your business model and see if you can offer different ways to sell your products.

Are you offering any special services, promotions or hours during this time?

We are selling items frozen and unbaked, so you can bake them fresh at home when you want them.

Are there any other outstanding businesses in town you think deserve some community support?

Saints Row Brewing, another family-owned small business who has been innovative with their idea of pre-order from 12 noon to4 p.m. and pickup from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Their beers are canned the same day to ensure freshness and guaranty availability.
