Bethesda, Chevy Chase Crime: Bank, Drug Store Robberies
Crimes in Bethesda and Chevy Chase included in the county police department's most recent crime summary.

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department in its summary of major crimes occurring in the county between Dec. 2 and 10. The mention of an arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.
Bank robbery:
- A bank robbery occurred at PNC Bank (10211 Old Georgetown Rd., Bethesda) on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at about 9:50 a.m. A 47-year-old man from Rockville was arrested.

- A theft occurred at Unlimited Electrical Contractors (7101 Democracy Blvd., Bethesda) on Saturday, Dec. 7. Property was taken from a construction site.
Commercial burglary:
- A commercial burglary occurred at Village Green Apothecary (5415 West Cedar Ln., Bethesda) on Monday, Dec. 2, between 8 and 8:40 p.m. There was a forced entry, but nothing was taken.
Residential burglary:

- A residential burglary occurred in the 7400 block of Helmsdale Road in Bethesda during the night between Sunday and Monday, Dec. 8 and 9. There was no forced entry into the car or garage, but property was taken.
- Fifteen incidents of theft of property outside homes occurred during the late night or early morning hours on Wood Way, Marilyn Drive, Randall Lane, Nahant Street, Fort Sumner Drive, Scarsdale Road, Duvall Drive, Baltan Road, Ridgefield Road, Searl Terrace and Namakagan Road.
Thefts from vehicles:
- Thefts from vehicles occurred in the 7400 block of Helmsdale Road in Bethesda during the night between Sunday and Monday, Dec. 8 and 9. Vehicles were left unlocked and an iPod and loose cash were taken.
