Bethesda Hotel Software Company Raises $48M For Expansion: Report

Stayntouch, a Bethesda-based hotel software firm, raised $48 million in equity investments to help add new clients and make acquisitions.

BETHESDA, MD — Stayntouch, a Bethesda-based hotel software firm, raised $48 million in equity investments to help add new clients and make acquisitions, according to a report.

Sixth Street Growth, an investment firm that has backed Airbnb Inc., played a major role in the new investment, with one of its top officials joining Stayntouch’s board of directors as part of the deal, The Washington Business Journal reported Tuesday.

Stayntouch’s software allows guests to check in to hotels on their own without talking to a person, and helps hotels process payments and organize guest information.

The company, which has 134 employees at its Bethesda headquarters at 4720 Montgomery Lane, plans to expand its workforce by 25 to 30 percent over the next year, according to the report.
