Sexual Abuse, Blackmail Threat Send Chevy Chase Man To Prison
A Chevy Chase man was sentenced to 12 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to sexually abusing and blackmailing a woman in 2019.
CHEVY CHASE, MD — A 58-year-old Chevy Chase man was sentenced to 12 months in prison for sexual abuse and blackmail, after pleading guilty in July.
Steven B. Fabrizio met a woman in August 2019 after they spoke on a dating website and through text. They had consensual sex and he paid her $400, which they had agreed upon beforehand, the U.S. Attorney's office said.
He requested to see her again the next day, on Aug. 20, and when she declined he threatened to tell her parents, landlord and employer about their previous arrangement unless she continued to meet with him, according to the U.S. Attorney. She agreed to see him again, and Fabrizio sexually abused her at that meeting, the news release says.
