Dig Restaurant Chain To Open 1st Maryland Location In Bethesda: Report
Dig, a New York City-based restaurant chain that serves food in a bowl format, is planning to open a new location in downtown Bethesda.
BETHESDA, MD — Dig, a New York City-based restaurant chain that serves food in a bowl format, is planning to open in Bethesda, its first location in Maryland, according to a report.
The restaurant has leased the vacant Mexicue space at 4733 Elm Street in Bethesda, Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported Friday. Dig’s only other location in the Washington, D.C., is at 1301 Wisconsin Avenue, NW in Georgetown.
“For us, cooking is about more than just preparing meals. It’s a mastery, a craft, a meditation, a way of bringing people together, a way of traveling while never leaving your zip code,” Dig says on its website.

Dig’s dishes include Hot Honey Chicken, Spicy Lime Leaf Salmon, Kale Caeser, Avo Grain Bowl, Herb Roasted Chicken, Maple Glazed Crispy Tofu and Cashew Kale Caesar. Dessert items include chocolate chip cookies and flourless brownies.
