Drug Take Back Day In Bethesda: Where To Drop Off Unwanted Drugs

BETHESDA, MD — Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day, and Montgomery County Police will have several stations where residents can drop off prescription drugs that are unused, unwanted to expired. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Drug Enforcement Agency hosts Drug Take Back Day to prevent unused medication from sitting in homes to prevent medication misuse and opioid addiction, its website says.

"DEA is committed to making our communities safer and healthier, and we can do this by reducing overdoses and overdose deaths," it says. "While the community does its part to turn in unneeded medications and remove them from potential harm, we are doing our part to further reduce drug-related violence."
