BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County police are trying to identify a man accused of stealing a man’s black fanny pack that was on the back of his chair at CAVA restaurant in Bethesda. The bag contained credit cards and other valuables, police said Thursday.
Moments after the man discovered his bag had been stolen around 1:40 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, he received a notification that his credit card had been used at a Target in the 6800 block of Wisconsin Avenue, police said.
Police said detectives obtained surveillance video of the suspect, who is described as a Black man, about 40 to 50-years-old, with a salt and pepper beard. He was wearing a black Nike baseball hat, a gray Nike long sleeve zippered sweatshirt and black Nike sweatpants, according to police.
