The summers of soccer begin when the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 kicks off this Saturday June 14th

The summers of soccer begin when the FIFA Club World Cup (FCWC) 2025 kicks off this Saturday June 14th -- marking the first of two consecutive summers of major FIFA tournaments on U.S. soil.
Here’re a few key facts about the FIFA Club World Cup (FCWC)
- It’s a brand new, expanded tournament where 32 of the best club teams (PSG, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and more) from around the world are taking the pitch in 11 host cities across the United States. This includes matches in Washington DC @ Audi Field.
- With a fast-paced group stage, the bracket will have a March Madness type energy as the action heats up in the single elimination knockout rounds. The 63-match tournament will redefine global competition, as the first of its kind Club World Cup will feature teams from all six FIFA confederations.
- To add to the excitement, on June 14th, the Club World Cup will host an opening ceremony featuring performances from French Montana and Swae Lee. And on July 13th, Doja Cat, Tems and J Balvin will headline the first of its kind Club World Cup Final halftime show on July 13, produced by Global Citizens and curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
- Unlike next year’s FIFA World Cup where players from 48 nations will be on show, the FCWC is open to players from every nation on earth. In total there are more than 80 nations being represented during the tournament.
