Future Bethesda Office Building Turned Residential

The Donohoe Development Company switches gears by going residential.

A gas station that was once planned to become a six-story 90,000-square-foot office building will take the residential route.

Located on a corner at 8280 Wisconsin Avenue, the full-service real estate organization Donohoe Development Company requested to make the space a 200-foot-tall residential building, according to the Montgomery County Planning Department.

Donohoe is moving forward with plans to build the residential high-rise four stories higher than the 8200 apartment building next to it, the Montgomery County Planning Department reports.

Other companies in the area are switching their office building plans as well. Developer JBG announced in June that they were abandoning the idea of making a North Bethesda Market property an office space and instead opting for residential.
