A search process for a new associate head of school, facilitated by Carney Sandoe and Associates, attracted more than 100 local, national, and international candidates. The search process was assisted by Holton-Arms families, faculty and staff, and trustees, as well as a group of middle and upper school students who provided feedback that contributed to the decision to appoint Eghan as associate head of school.
“I was blown away by the talent, dedication, and heart I witnessed during my visit to Holton,” Eghan said in a statement. “This opportunity called to me in a special way. In particular, the motto ‘find a way or make one’ resonates deeply with my professional journey. I am beyond excited to help advance the important work of leading this phenomenal institution.”
A native of New Jersey, Eghan received both her A.B. in history and literature and ED.M. in school leadership from Harvard University. Earlier in her career, Eghan worked at Groton School in Massachusetts as an English teacher, faculty advisor, and coach, and eventually as associate director of admission. She then joined Polytechnic School in California, where she served as director of community outreach, English teacher, and faculty advisor.
