Mail Theft At Bethesda Apartment Building Investigated By Police

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects who stole packages and mail from an apartment complex in Bethesda.

Detectives determined the two suspects entered the secured Bethesda apartment building, after a resident opened the lobby door to pick up a food delivery. Police were able to obtain surveillance video of the suspects.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who stole packages and mail from an apartment complex in Bethesda.

On Aug. 19, two people are suspected of entering an apartment building in the 5400 block of Westbard Avenue and stealing multiple packages belonging to residents, police said.

Detectives determined the two suspects entered the secured building, after a resident opened the lobby door to pick up a food delivery. Police were able to obtain surveillance video of the suspects.

Suspect one is described as a light complexion Black male, about 16 to 20-years-old, with short locs, wearing a black hoodie with a Houston Rockets logo on the back, black pants and black and white shoes, police said.

Suspect two is described as a medium complexion Black male, about 20 to 25-years-old, wearing a gray hoodie with orange, blue and white stripes, black shorts and brown sandals.
