MD Among Most Luxury-Obsessed States, New Analysis Claims

MARYLAND — A new analysis has revealed that Marylanders are more likely than residents of other states to enjoy living a life of luxury.

A recent study by gaming website Slot.Day analyzed key luxury indicators for all U.S. states to identify the ones where people are most into luxury living.

The research takes into account the share of millionaire households, billionaire rate, luxury cars and homes, as well as searches for luxury brands. The states were then ranked based on a final score calculated from the key indicators.

In the end, Maryland came in at No. 9 on the list of states where people are most into luxury living.

According to the analysis, Maryland is home to 11 billionaires and 5.8 percent of Maryland households can claim millionaire status. Luxury real estate in Maryland costs $677,712 on average and there are 3,876 fancy houses for sale in the state.

Other interesting findings from the study included the number of monthly Google searches for luxury items. According to the analysis, Maryland recorded 23,390 searches for "Lamborghini for sale," more than 49,000 searches for Louis Vuitton bags and 26,480 searches for available Rolex watches.
