Metro Red Line Service Increasing On Weekdays, Beginning Feb. 22
Red Line trains will run every 10 minutes instead of every 12 minutes on weekdays, the Metro said.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Red Line riders can expect trains to come every 10 minutes instead of every 12 minutes on weekdays, the Metro announced. The change was implemented Tuesday.
“We know every minute counts when you have somewhere to be, so we’re working hard to safely put as many trains into service as possible,” said General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Paul J. Wiedefeld in a news release. “We thank our customers for their continued support as we work to do our part to support the region’s recovery.”
Trains run every 20 minutes on other lines, and stations that serve multiple lines have trains coming as frequently as seven to 10 minutes apart, the Metro said.
