Monologue Fest Returns To Ri Ra
Judges will determine the winner, but audience members will choose who advances to the final round.

The popular Monologue Fest, a fundraiser for regional professional theater group Unexpected Stage, is returning to Ri Ra April 1.
Nearly a dozen actors will compete for a $100 prize. A panel of judges who are well-known in the area's theater scene will determine the winner, but the audience will get the chance to choose who advances to the final round.
Judges include Arena Stage Casting Director and Artistic Associate Daniel Pruksarnukul, Helen Hayes Award-winning actress Donna Migliaccio, Arena Stage Director of Marketing Neal Racioppo, and Monologue Fest 2012 winner Dorea Schmidt.

Tickets will be available at the door only for the event, which drew a packed house last year. The event is set for 7 p.m. There is a $15 suggested admission, and a $10 suggested admission for theater professionals.
Proceeds benefit Unexpected Stage's summer production of Alan Bennett's "The Lady in the Van."
