MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Montgomery County Public Libraries continues to go beyond the brick and mortar to bring library services to residents wherever they are. MCPL’s new podcast, Library Matters, optimizes digital communication to deliver information effectively and at the convenience of the listener.
The podcast produces new episodes every two weeks that explore the world of books, libraries, technology, and learning. Recent topics ranged from Game of Thrones, to strategies to encourage reluctant readers, to MCPL’s award winning Workforce Development programs. Future episodes will look into romance novels, explore MCPL’s second annual comic convention MoComCon, and review some of the best books of 2017.
“This podcast is an exciting new way for us to reach our residents with information about library services, give them a glimpse at the staff of our system, and share fun and interesting local and national happenings,” said MCPL Acting Director Anita Vassallo.
