Mui To Join Dining Scene At North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose

BETHESDA, MD — The fine dining Japanese restaurant Mui will open at North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose in winter 2024, a news release said. The venue will feature signature tastings, sushi and seasonal omakase for the ultimate sushi experience, said developer Federal Realty Investment Trust.

IVEA Restaurant Group will open Mui, a 8,506-square-foot restaurant is scheduled to open at 967 Rose Avenue, next to West Elm.

The menu will feature non-traditional Japanese dishes, as well as traditional kaiseki, sushi, omakase from Japan. Foods will be complimented by an agave, scotch and sake menu curated by a mixologist along plus premium champagne, wine and cocktails.

The highlight of Mui will be omakase, a dining experience where guests have direct interaction with the chef, the owners said. Translated as, “I leave it up to you,” Omakase allows the chef to present curated, innovative sushi specialties.

Additional menu items include seafood and meat cooked on a Robata grill.

Mui joins retailers and dining destinations in the Pike & Rose neighborhood including Julii, Melina, Call Your Mother, Sports & Social, Privai spa + salon, Summer House Santa Monica, Roaming Rooster and more.

Pike & Rose is a 24-acre, transit-oriented neighborhood including more than 50 tenants of retail space. The location includes a selection of restaurants (Summer House Santa Monica, Fogo de Chao, &pizza, sweetgreen and Julii), retailers (REI, Sephora, L.L.Bean and Sur La Table, Uniqlo), a Porsche dealership, and entertainment offerings (iPic Theaters, Pinstripes and AMP by Strathmore).
