Both Hirsh and Levie are distinguished painters. Levie served as the Chairman of the Art Department at Blessed Sacrament School in Washington, D.C. for 22 years and earned a National Art and Education and State Farm National Teacher Award in 1996. Hirsch spent 20 years as a picture researcher and illustrated books like The Mother’s Almanac by journalist Marguerite Kelly.
The final artist in the showcase, Mougne, applies his background in sculpture, interior design and decoration into his craft; the artist draws inspiration from the building materials he observes around the capital. Mougne was twice selected as a feature in the Foggy Bottom Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit.
