NBC4 Anchor Leon Harris Charged With DUI After Crash In Montgomery County: Police
News4 reported that one of its anchors, Leon Harris, was arrested in MOCO and charged with driving under the influence Saturday.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A News4 anchor was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after a two-car crash on River Road in Montgomery County Saturday, the DC affiliate for the NBC network reported.
Leon Harris will be off the air during the criminal investigation, News4 said. Harris tried to leave the accident scene, but was stopped by police, the station said.
Authorities said Harris failed a sobriety test, and a breathalyzer test found his blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent, NBC Washington reported.
