NORTH BETHESDA, MD — The Diener School, a school for students in kindergarten through 8th grade with special needs, is holding its annual fall festival on Oct. 28 that will serve as the kick-off of its campaign to raise funds for a new campus.

The school said its capital campaign will support the funding of its move to a new location and build its endowment, which will allow the school to meet the needs of its students.

Plans and renderings of the new campus will be available at the fall festival. Guests also will get to view the premiere of a video showcasing this project.

The Diener School has a team of educators, therapists and staff who work closely together to provide students with a balance of academic, therapeutic and social emotional resources. The school's core values emphasize the development of healthy self-esteem, recognizing its profound impact on the students’ overall growth and success.

The new campus is “purposefully designed” to allow the school to broaden its reach in the community and offer expanded enrollment opportunities for students in need of a specialized educational environment, the school said.

"Our move to this new campus represents a transformative step for The Diener School," Kathy Chumas, head of school, said in a statement. "We are excited to expand our enrollment capacity to reach more families in our community."

The fall festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Diener School is located at 11701 Danville Drive in North Bethesda.
