Parking Garage Payment System Changing In Bethesda
Parking in one garage will be charged on a pay-by-plate system, similar to a metered space where drivers prepay on their phones.

BETHESDA, MD — Drivers that park in the Woodmont Corner Garage in Bethesda can expect a change in payment starting starting Feb. 1.
The"pay on foot" system will be removed and replaced with a pay-by-plate system, which will operate similarly to regular metered spaces where drivers estimate the time they will be there and pay in advance.
This will remove the need for gates at the entry and gives drivers the chance to pay on their phones, the Montgomery County Department of Transportation said. Drivers can also add time to their spot either on their phones or at pay stations.
