Persimmon Re-Opens on Wisconsin

The long-awaited re-incarnation of the Bethesda restaurant is complete, Bethesda Magazine reports.

Wisconsin Avenue mainstay Persimmon has re-opened after a renovation, Bethesda Magazine reports.

Chef and owner Damian Salvatore shuttered the restaurant in July to transform the eatery into a "casual, neighborhood bistro" modeled after Wild Tomato, Salvatore's restaurant in Cabin John, according to Bethesda Magazine.

The new Persimmon boasts a brighter look and new menu items with lower prices, according to the report, but Salvatore still will serve up his signature pecan-crusted barbecue lamb.
