PHOTOS: 'Slushquester' in Bethesda
There was a bit of snow accumulation in Bethesda Wednesday morning, but many in the immediate Washington, DC area saw less snow than predicted.
Some snow and slush accumulated Wednesday morning in Bethesda, but like other areas in the immediate Washington, DC region, initial predictions of up to eight inches of snow weren't realized.
Here, the "Snowquester" was more like the "Slushquester."
Nonetheless, workers were out in full force salting roads and shoveling walkways this morning in downtown Bethesda. Bethesda Urban Partnership maintenance crews were on hand beginning at 7 a.m., with two plows readied to assist county and state road clearing crews and generators to power traffic signals in the event of power outages.

The lights remained on Wednesday in most of Bethesda and Montgomery County, with a cluster of about 130 outages in Chevy Chase and Silver Spring.
