Pike District Partnership Seeks Applicants For 1st Board Of Directors

NORTH BETHESDA, MD — The Pike District Partnership, a group focused on North Bethesda's economic growth, is accepting applications to join its first board of directors.

The Pike District Partnership is the successor organization of the Friends of White Flint and the White Flint Downtown Advisory Committee. The partnership was created to support the North Bethesda community, with a goal of establishing a business improvement district or similar entity.

“We are proud to begin the process of appointing our first Board of Directors for the Pike District Partnership,” Eugene Cornelius, executive director of the Pike District Partnership, said in a statement.

“This is a fundamental and exciting step forward toward our vision of fostering community connections and amplifying community voices to promote opportunities by positioning the Pike District’s success as North Bethesda’s Urban Core,” Cornelius said.

The volunteer board will consist of the following membership:

• Up to four Large Commercial Property Owners
• Up to three Small Commercial Property Owners
• Up to four Large Business Owners
• Up to four Small Business Owners
• Up to six Resident Members
• Up to three At -large members

Applications will be accepted through Oct. 31. An executive committee of the current interim board will review applications and make appointments. Appointees will serve three-year terms.
