Smoke Island To Open Second Location In Downtown Bethesda: Report

BETHESDA, MD — Smoke Island Inc. is planning to open a second tobacco shop in downtown Bethesda after opening its first in the downtown area last summer, according to a report.

The new Smoke Island store will be located at 4949 Bethesda Avenue, Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported. Last August, the local tobacco chain opened a store at 7913 Norfolk Avenue.

Robert Dyer noted that the foot traffic at the Norfolk Avenue store is likely to be heavier than pedestrian traffic at the new shop opening on Bethesda Avenue.

The locally owned tobacco shop also sells vaping, cigar, hookah and other smoking products. Smoke Island also has locations in Rockville, Silver Spring and Washington, D.C.
