Sprout To Open First DMV Store At Bethesda Row
A locally sourced, organic cafe with 4 other Maryland locations will open its first DMV site in a Bethesda neighborhood in 2025.
NORTH BETHESDA, MD — An organic cafe with four locations in Maryland plans to open its first location in the DMV at Bethesda Row in Bethesda in summer 2025.
Sprout will open a 740-square foot space at 4926 Elm St. between YogiTopi and Ideal Image, and nearby Heyday, Mamma Lucia and PLANTA, according to a news release from Federal Realty Investment Trust.
Established in Easton in 2016 by wife and husband team Emily and Ryan Groll, experts in the health, fitness and food industry, Sprout features locally sourced, scratch-made foods. Passionate about healthy living and helping others thrive, they believe tastebuds are happiest by food crafted in smaller batches using local and organic ingredients.

Additional locations can be found in Easton, St. Michaels, and two sites in Annapolis, including The Canteen at The Maryland State House and another cafe at 150 Jennifer Road.
“We are excited to open our fifth location and bring to the Bethesda community our tasty, scratch-made meals, scratch-made artisanal breads, healthy spreads, and more when we open later this year,” said Ryan Groll, owner, Sprout. “Our nutritionist-designed, chef-crafted meals will be a memorable dining experience for the Bethesda community.”

The menu features soups, scratch-made artisan breads, sprout-made spreads, overnight oat bowls, chia puddings and parfaits, breakfast muffins, acai bowls, smoothies, a full espresso bar, wraps, small plates, brownies, cookies, granola, and entrees including honey pot chicken, herb crusted salmon, and turkey sloppy joes.
Sprout also creates in-house, chef crafted, hand bottled drinks.
