Starbucks Close In Bethesda Due To Renovations, Redevelopment: Reports

Two Starbucks coffee shops in different areas of Bethesda will close temporarily due to renovations and a strip mall redevelopment.

BETHESDA, MD — Two Starbucks coffee shops in different areas of Bethesda will close temporarily due to renovations and a strip mall redevelopment.

The Starbucks at 5438 Westbard Avenue in the Westwood Shopping Center closed last week, Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported. A new Starbucks coffee shop will be opening in the new Westbard Square development adjacent to the existing strip mall later this year, according to Robert Dyer.

In downtown Bethesda, the Starbucks at 7700 Norfolk Avenue has temporarily closed due to a renovation of the building. The Starbucks is expected to reopen on Jan. 8, Robert Dyer reported.

While the downtown Starbucks is temporarily closed, customers can visit the nearby Starbucks at 7200 Wisconsin Avenue and in the Hyatt Regency Bethesda.
