NORTH BETHESDA, MD — A new steakhouse with Greek influences is set to open in 2024 in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose development, according to a report.
Bouboulina will be owned by the founders of Mediterranean restaurant CAVA: Ted Xenohristos, Dimitri Moshovitis and Ike Grigoropoulos, The Washingtonian reported.
Xenohristos told The Washingtonian that Bouboulina’s menu will be based around steak, fish, and vegetables cooked over a wood grill, with spices and side dishes from the eastern Mediterranean cooking traditions of Greece, Turkey, and the Levant.

As for the origin of the restaurant's name, Bouboulina commanded her own fleet and private army during the Greek War of Independence and became the first woman in world naval history to become an admiral.
Construction of the new restaurant in the Pike & Rose development is scheduled to begin in early 2024. The décor will match a modern American-style steakhouse, with wood elements and dim lighting.
