Sweathouz Studio To Open First MD Site In Spring 2025

Sweathouz, a therapy studio that offers infrared saunas and cold plunges, plans to open its first MD location in Montgomery County.

BETHESDA, MD — Sweathouz, which bills itself as a contrast therapy studio that offers vitamin shower, infrared saunas and cold plunges, plans to open its first Maryland location in Montgomery County.

The Sweathouz website says a studio is coming soon to the Pike & Rose development at 11564 Old Georgetown Road in North Bethesda.

The MoCo Show reports the studio will open in mid-March next to Forbright Bank.

"At SWTHZ, we’ve crafted a unique recovery journey that is a scientifically-backed approach to self-care, combining hot and cold temperatures for optimal mental and physical performance and wellness," the company said. "Each private suite is a luxurious haven where you can personalize your wellness routine in complete privacy. This isn’t just about recovery — it’s an immersive experience designed for both relaxation and rejuvenation."

There are more than 40 Sweathouz locations nationwide, The MoCo Show reported.

There are two sites already open in Northern Virginia: 4121 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington's Ballston area, and in the Mosaic area of Fairfax at 2987 District Ave., Unit 160. A third NoVA location will open at 1413 S. Fern St. in the National Landing at Arlington.

Monthly memberships are available:

  • 4x (60 minutes) Receive 4 sessions per month. $179
  • 8x (60 minutes) Receive 8 sessions per month. $209
  • Unlimited (60 minutes) Receive unlimited sessions per month, one session per day. $259

The growing company says that the Baltimore area is open to franchise opportunities.
