Tacombi, the new taco restaurant in Bethesda, started as a bus in Yucatán. It now has 13 locations in Miami, New York, and the D.C. area.

BETHESDA, MD — A new taco restaurant has joined Bethesda's downtown.
Tacombi opened at 4749 Bethesda Avenue, near Spanish Diner, Fish Taco, Landmark's Bethesda Row Cinema, Chopt, and the other eateries and stores on Bethesda Row.
"Drawing on the rich culinary traditions and recipes found across Mexico, Tacombi’s menu offers a variety of authentic tacos, ice-cold beer, cocktails and juices, all within an unexpected, lively setting," the restaurant said in its opening announcement.

"Popular items include Corn Esquites, Baja Crispy Fish Tacos, Gringa Quesadillas with Mexico City style Al Pastor roasted pork, and Vegana Burritos. The taquerias serve cocktails such as the Margarita, Michelada, and Rubio with watermelon and tequila, as well as non-alcoholic beverages including house-made Aguas Frescas and Lupita sodas."

Tacombi first started out as a bus serving tacos in Yucatán, the restaurant said. Tacombi gets its name by combining "Taco" and "Combi," the type of bus the business owners first used.
