This Weekend: What to Know if You’re Taking Metro

If you’re planning on hopping the Metro this weekend, here’s a few things to know, according to WMATA:

• Red Line service will operate normally throughout the Columbus Day holiday weekend.
• Major track work is planned on the Green, Yellow and Orange Lines.
• From 10 p.m. Friday through closing Monday, Oct. 10, the Shaw, U Street and Columbia Heights Metro stations will be closed. Free shuttle buses will run between Mt. Vernon Square and Georgia Avenue.
• Also from 10 p.m. Friday through closing Monday, buses will replace trains between East Falls Church and West Falls Church on the Orange Line.
