BETHESDA, MD — The southbound lanes on the I-270 spur in the Bethesda area were shut down Thursday morning after a truck carrying pesticides overturned, according to Montgomery County officials.
Fire department activity was blocking four lanes on the I-270 spur just before the Democracy Blvd exit around 8:15 a.m. Only the right lane was getting by, the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security said. Drivers are being told to see an alternate route.
The crash involved several vehicles, and at least two people were checked for injuries, NBC4 reported.

The crash, which happened around 7:30 a.m., is still under investigation, and drivers can expect delays throughout the morning, Fox 5 DC reported.
