VA Man Suffers Medical Emergency, Dies In Crash In Potomac: Police

A Virginia man died in a two-car crash on Democracy Boulevard in Potomac early Saturday evening, according to Montgomery County police.

POTOMAC, MD — A Virginia man died in a two-car crash on Democracy Boulevard in Potomac early Saturday evening, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, Byron Jennings, 60, of Lynchburg, Virginia, was driving a 2012 Kia Sorento westbound on Democracy Blvd, prior to Newbridge Drive, when he suffered a medical emergency, police said.

His Kia left the road, causing a 2015 BMW to hit the curb and leave the roadway, according to police. The driver of the BMW was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Jennings was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
