Wine Slushies Kiosk Shuts Down After Only 2 Months In Bethesda: Report

VinoRita's demise is one of the fastest business failures publisher Robert Dyer has seen in 17 years of reporting in Montgomery County.

BETHESDA, MD — VinoRita, a wine slushies place in the food court at Westfield Montgomery Mall, has shut down after less than two months in business, according to a report.

The VinoRita kiosk at Westfield Montgomery has been “entirely cleared out,” Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row reported Saturday.

“It's recently become one of the unluckiest spots in the mall, as HalfSmoke lasted less than a year in the same kiosk, and VinoRita has now chased that with one of the fastest business failures I've ever reported in the 17 years I've been publishing news in Montgomery County,” Robert Dyer said.

On its website, VinoRita says its No. 1 seller is its Blackberry Sangria. Its Peach Frose frozen wine slushies are also very popular, along with its Strawberry Daiquiri and Blueberry Pomegranate.

Apparently, none of these slushies showed enough promise after the kiosk opened in August to convince the owners to give VinoRita at least six months to see if it would work out as a viable business in Westfield Montgomery Mall.
