$100K Winning Lotto Ticket Helps Boost Financial Cushion For Couple
A Suitland couple who won $100K on a Mega Multiplier ticket plans to invest their winnings, foregoing a tropical vacation they considered.
SUITLAND — A Suitland couple who won $100,000 on the Mega Multiplier game can't wait to watch their winnings grow.
“We’re going to save it and invest in something that will multiply. We’ll figure out something. You’ve got to make it work for you,” the pair said while claiming their winnings at Maryland Lottery headquarters. .
Their winning lottery ticket was purchased at the Royal Farms store at 5200 Auth Road in Camp Springs. One half of the winning pair was in such shock when she learned it was worth $100,000 that she literally slid down the wall.

“She sure did,” her partner said. “I told her to calm down before you hyperventilate.”
While they discussed traveling to Jamaica and other ways to enjoy their winnings, they decided to invest the money instead. Despite their win, they still plan to keep playing.

“I’m getting some Powerball tickets today,” one of the two winners said.
The Royal Farms store receives a $1,000 bonus from the lottery for selling the top-tier winning ticket.
