17-Year-Old Kills His Father In Bowie: Police
Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the killing of his father in Bowie.

BOWIE, MD — Police have accused a 17-year-old boy of killing his father in Bowie late last week.
Police were called to the area of Allen Pond Park in the 3300 block of Northview Drive at around 4:30 p.m. on July 26 to a report of a domestic incident involving a vehicle, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.
"Once on scene, they discovered a SUV that had crashed into a fence. In a wooded area very near to the collision site, the victim was located on the ground suffering from trauma to the body," the report states. "Prince George’s County Fire and EMS arrived and despite all lifesaving measures, the victim was pronounced dead on scene."

Police identified the victim as 62-year-old Barba Koroma, and the suspect as his 17-year-old son of the same name.
"Patrol officers also located the suspect on scene walking out of the wooded area," the report states. "He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released. He was then transported to the PGPD Homicide Unit for questioning."

Police believe that he and his father started arguing in the vehicle as the father was driving, prompting the son to stab him just before the crash. The son then pulled his father from the vehicle and dragged him into the nearby wooded area, police say.
The son faces charges of first and second degree murder, and he is being held without bond.
