2 Killed After Car Strikes Tree In Prince George's County

Marcus Antonio Jackson, 32, and Terrell Cord, 19, of Northeast Washington died after their car hit a tree in Landover this weekend.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — Two people died after their car struck a tree in Landover early Saturday morning, police said.

The victims have been identified as Marcus Antonio Jackson, 32, and Terrell Cord, 19, of Northeast Washington.

Investigation revealed that at about 3:05 a.m. Saturday, Jackson was driving eastbound on Columbia Park Road when his car crossed the centerline and ultimately struck a tree, police said. Detectives are still investigating the reasons behind the crash.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Cord was the only passenger in the car.
