House Fire Kills 2 Adults In Prince George's County: UPDATES
UPDATES: Two people have died after they were rescued from a house fire in Prince George's County Wednesday afternoon.

(Updated at 1:20 p.m. Thursday): TEMPLE HILLS, MD — Two people have died from their injuries after they were rescued from a house fire in Temple Hills Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Officials received a 911 call from a female at about 12:30 p.m. for the report of a house fire on the 5200 block of Lorraine Dr.
When firefighters arrived, fire was showing from the one-story single family home. Firefighters rescued two residents—an adult female and an adult male—from the home and transported them to the hospital in critical condition, officials said. The residents were found in the home with no pulse and not breathing, officials said.

The two residents succumbed to their injuries a short time after arriving at the hospital, officials said.
The fire was extinguished in 12 minutes, Brady said. Fire investigators believe the fire started in the basement and spread to the first floor. Fire loss is estimated at $80,000.

Two neighbors tried to enter the home to help the victims, but they were driven back by heat and smoke, Chief Spokesperson of Prince George's County Fire & EMS Mark Brady said.
Two firefighters were sent to the Burn Unit for burns on their ears, Brady said. The firefighters were treated and released, officials said.
The status of a smoke alarm and exact cause of the fire is undetermined, officials said.
