$50K Winning Lotto Ticket Allows Player To Install New Windows In Home
A Prince George's County homeowner who recently won $50K playing a lotto game will use the winnings to pay for new windows at her home.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Maryland Lottery player in need of new windows for her home recently won $50,000 playing Mega Bucks, which she'll use to pay off for the project.
“This was shocking,” the winner said at Maryland Lottery headquarters.
She’s been playing for decades, sporadically when she was younger and more regularly lately, she told lottery officials. When she bought tickets that included the big winner, she took them home and scratched them, using the Lottery app on her smartphone. When she realized she had won, she checked the $10 Mega Bucks ticket several times and then determined it was real.

After paying off the new windows for her house early, she plans to put the balance in savings and help her son a little with his student loans. She bought the ticket at Royal Farms, 6460 Capitol Drive, Greenbelt, which will receive a bonus for selling the winning ticket.
