83 Suspects Arrested In One Day During Domestic Violence Crackdown

Prince George's sheriff's deputies and police officers, along with state troopers, arrested 83 domestic violence suspects in one day.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A domestic violence sting carried out across Prince George's County Sunday ended up pulling 83 offenders off the streets and closing 90 arrest warrants in one night.

Spearheaded by the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office's warrant/fugitive division, in conjunction with the Prince George's County Police Department and the Maryland State Patrol, their efforts protected eight victims, officials said.

The operation targeted individuals wanted for both violent and non-violent offenses, with a particular focus on domestic violence-related crimes this month, which happens to be Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
