Bowie Baysox Hold 'Holiday Hope Project'
Nominate a person or family in Prince George's County who needs holiday assistance this year, and they may get gifts and a food basket.

BOWIE, MD — Each holiday season, Louie the Bowie Baysox mascot and Baysox employees surprise selected families with gifts and food baskets. Dubbed Louie's Holiday Hope Project, this holiday drive is accepting nominations from community members on which families to help.
If you know of a family or individual in Prince George's County that has fallen on hard times and could use some holiday assistance, you are asked to email the Baysox by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1.
Please send your submission to info@baysox.com with the subject line "Louie's Holiday Hope." Your e-mail should include the following information:

- The name of the person/family you are nominating
- The town/city your nominee lives in
- Description of why you are nominating this individual/family
Louie's Holiday Hope Project started in 2007 and has since helped over 275 local children. Louie's Holiday Hope Project will try and help as many families as possible, but might not be able to help every family brought to their attention.
The Baysox are also collecting new pairs of socks and gently-used warm coats to be donated toward this project. Your donation can be dropped off at the Bowie Baysox Offices at Prince George's Stadium, 4101 Crain Highway, Bowie, MD during regular business hours—Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Monday, Dec. 4.
