Bowiefest 2024 Offers Live Entertainment, Yoga, Food, Rides, Business Expo And More

Make plans to attend Bowiefest 2024 this weekend with an array of live entertainment, yoga, food vendors, kiddie rides and more.

BOWIE, MD — Kick off the summer season this weekend at Bowiefest 2024 on June 1. The event will take place at Allen Pond Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and feature three stages of entertainment.

The Amphitheater Stage will showcase Dance Expressions, Cheer in Motion, Klotz Karate, A&A Entertainment, Inspire Dance and the sounds of the Clones of Funk Band. On the Maryland Physicians Care Stage, enjoy local Bowie bands like the Good Measure Band, Doo Wop, the Bowie Jazz Combo, The Michael McHenry Tribe with R&B/ Classic Rock and the Residents Band with Indie Rock. The Children’s Stage will feature Anasegro: A Visit to an African Village, Reba Rocket from Eric Energy and Magic of Speed.

Sample a wide variety of food choices, from funnel cakes to shaved ice, hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, fish and fries. There will be train rides, a kids’ amusement section, information booths and more. An all day pass can be purchased for $20 at the event for rides. Local non-profit groups, environmental and civic organizations also will be on hand.

The Business Expo, sponsored by the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce, will be held in the Bowie Ice Arena at the same time as Bowiefest and will showcase local and regional companies. Yoga will take place inside the ice arena at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
