Captain D's To Open 5 Casual Seafood Eateries In Prince George's Co.
From signature batter dipped fish to hushpuppies, okra, and cheesecake, Captain D's offers a varied menu. It plans to open 5 MD locations.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Captain D's, the nation's leading fast-casual seafood restaurant based out of Tennessee, announced Wednesday that it will develop five restaurants in Prince George's County in the next seven years.
The eateries will be the first Maryland locations for the growing chain.
Captain D's serves a wide variety of seafood that includes freshly prepared entrees and the company's signature batter dipped fish. The restaurants also offer grilled items such as shrimp, tilapia and salmon, as well as hushpuppies, desserts and freshly brewed, Southern-style sweet tea, a Captain D's favorite.

There are a variety of non-seafood options, including hand-breaded chicken tenders, sandwiches, kids’ meals, okra and desserts such as cheesecake and funnel cake stix.
"We are thrilled to kick off 2025 with some amazing new partners who are excited to bring Captain D's to communities in Maryland and San Antonio. This expansion into new territories shows our commitment to thoughtful, strategic growth up the eastern seaboard and west of the Mississippi," said Brad Reed, chief development officer of Captain D's, in a news release. "We provide our owners with great flexibility in choosing layouts and locations that, paired with our versatile seafood and chicken menu, ensures our operators' success."
