Celebrate Chinese New Year With Lion And Dragon Dances, Giant Display, Special Menu
MGM National Harbor will be hosting a Chinese New Year celebration complete with lion and dragon dances and a display in the Conservatory.
NATIONAL HARBOR, MD — Ring in the Year of the Snake at National Harbor with traditional lion and dragon dances, a Conservatory display featuring a 28-foot-long snake and an authentic Lunar New Year menu at Ginger.
The festive display will be available for viewing now through March 30. It includes a 15-foot-tall princess, a 30-foot-tall bonsai tree, a 25-foot-tall golden bamboo forest, a money tree with 260 oversized gold coins, eight 4- to 6-foot-tall fans with hand-painted scenery, a 34-foot-long by 16-foot-tall lunar gate, eight 8-foot-tall lanterns with firecrackers, two jade rock fountains, two white cranes and topiary koi fish.
There also will be a special lion and dragon dance for Year of the Dragon on Jan. 26 starting at 6 p.m. The performance will start in the Casino Valet and wind around the property.
