Driver Drops Off Gunshot Victim At PGC Hospital, Flees: Police

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- An investigation is underway after someone dropped off a gunshot victim -- who later died -- at a hospital in Prince George's County and then fled the scene, police say.

Eric Weaver Jr., 30, of D.C. was dropped off at Prince George's Hospital Center at around 12:40 a.m. on Wednesday, and died a short time later, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

"The person(s) who drove him to the hospital fled the area," the report states. "Detectives are working to identify who dropped off Weaver at the hospital and determine a motive for the shooting. They are also working to confirm the location of the shooting."
