Driver Identified In Fatal One-Vehicle Beltsville Crash

The name of a Beltsville driver killed in a one-vehicle Sept. 1 crash was released Monday by the Prince George's County Police Department.

BELTSVILLE, MD — The name of a driver killed in a Sept. 1 crash was released Monday by the Prince George's County Police Department. Martin Anyangwe, 73, of Beltsville was the driver killed in the accident.

The one-vehicle crash happened just before 10 p.m. near Powder Mill Road and Cherry Hill Road. Police said Anyangwe died at the scene.

The preliminary investigation said the victim was driving southbound on Powder Mill Road, when for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole.
