76-Year-Old Dump Truck Driver Dies After Vehicle Crashes Into Trees
A 76-year-old dump truck driver died after his vehicle left the road and crashed into multiple trees, according to Prince George's Police.
BRANDYWINE, MD — A 76-year-old man driving a dump truck died after his vehicle left the road and crashed into several trees.
The incident happened Oct. 28 around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Cedarville Road and Dent Road. Prince George's Police were called to the area for a report of a single-vehicle crash. They found 76-year-old Frederick Hand of Prince Frederick in the dump truck with trauma. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The preliminary investigation indicated Hand was driving northbound on Cedarville Road when, for reasons now being investigated, the dump truck left the road and hit multiple trees.
