Karaoke Bar, Entertainment Center Opens At National Harbor

Restaurateur Chris Zhu has opened his second Live-K location at National Harbor with 24 state-of-the-art​ private karaoke rooms.

NATIONAL HARBOR, MD — An entertainment center and karaoke bar has opened at National Harbor.

Live-K features 24 state-of-the-art private karaoke rooms, dynamic lighting and sound, a high-energy bar program, family-friendly programming and weekend brunch. The facility opened Nov. 22 at 137 National Plaza and spans 12,000 square feet. In addition to its late-night side of the business, Live-K also caters to families during the day with interactive entertainment and birthday party packages.

Live-K is the vision of restaurateur Chris Zhu who also started China Garden in Rockville; Han Palace in Tysons Corner, Woodley Park, Georgetown and Barracks Row; Han Spot in Gaithersburg; as well as Ginza Karaoke and BBQ Spot and Omakase@Barracks Row.

“We’re excited to bring an even bigger and more dynamic Live-K experience to National Harbor,” Zhu said. “With 24 private karaoke rooms, daytime family entertainment and new food and beverage programming, this will be our most versatile and exciting location yet.”

The National Harbor location happens to be the second site for Live-K with its original location at The Wharf in Southwest Washington, D.C.

"Expanding to National Harbor was an easy decision—it’s a vibrant, fast-growing destination that attracts families during the day, friends and groups at night, and visitors from across the region. Bringing Live-K here allows us to offer an elevated entertainment experience to a community that truly values it," Zhu told Patch.

Live-K is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday, noon to 3 a.m. Saturday and noon to 2 a.m. Sunday. A live DJ will spin music every Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
