Loaded Gun Tossed In School Stairwell As Teen Runs Off
A 15-year-old who took a loaded gun to school discarded it in a stairwell of his high school then took off running from the building.
SPRINGDALE, MD — A student who took a loaded gun to school Tuesday has been arrested and charged.
On Nov. 18 around 8:50 a.m., school security alerted the resource officer at Charles Herbert Flowers High School that a student had bypassed security personnel and ran up a flight of stairs to discard the gun, then fled the school, according to Prince George's Police.
A short time later, Prince George's police officers who were canvassing the area found the 15-year-old suspect and took him into custody. He attends Charles Herbert Flowers High School.

The PGPD charged the student with possession of a firearm on school property.
