Man Dies A Week After Landover Crash: PGC Police

A Capitol Heights man died about a week after he was injured in a Landover crash, Prince George's County Police said Tuesday.

LANDOVER, MD — A driver involved in a crash a week ago has died from his injuries, the Prince George’s County Police Department said. The collision that occurred in Landover. The deceased driver is 34-year-old David Walton Jr., 34, of Capitol Heights died Sunday from injuries he suffered on Dec. 11.

About 10:30 p.m. that night, Walton's sedan and an SUV collided at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Sheriff Road. Walton was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he died.

The second driver suffered injuries not considered life-threatening. Authorities have not released the driver's name.
