$25K Reward For Information In Hyattsville Man's Fatal Shooting
A $25K reward has been offered for information in the fatal shooting of a Hyattsville man who was found dead in the road in Riverdale.
RIVERDALE, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in Riverdale. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
On Oct. 24 at approximately 6:40 a.m., a person flagged down police officers in the area of Veterans Parkway and Riverdale Road to alert them to an unresponsive man lying on the side of the road. They found Jeiver Pozuelos Cervantes of Hyattsville, 38, with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s). Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. Anyone with information on this case who would like to speak to a detective can call 301-516-2512.
